pine breaks (uncapitalized) writes prose that wanders between memory and invention, exploring the spaces where violence and silence overlap. He is also is a cultural commentator writing about media in all its forms. His work has appeared in Slant Magazine, AnikoPress, Certified Forgotten, and others.

Physically born in East London, England, and now a long-time Australian resident, he identifies as a Black man, a non-dualist, a meditator, a proponent of alternative economies, a barefootist, and a sometime media academic.

He is most content when identifying as a being from the universe.
